So I am just testing this out to see how this will work. Everyone seems to be a blogger these days and though I am generally the last one on the planet to jump on any form of technology bandwagon, it might be easier than sending out mass emails. I spent the two days of Rosh HaShana (the Jewish New Years) in the Golan Heights on the Syrian-Israeli border. Toobab The Wonder Dog, Etai, David and myself spent the night camping by the Jordan River and the days hiking and exploring different parts of the Golan and Northern Galilee. Not exactly shul in Westchester in heels, but in my opinion a much better way to bring in the new year. I forever have the need to get away, and though the Golan is hardly far away (it is about a 3-4 hour drive from Tel Aviv), it satiates my need to escape for now. It should hold me until my next escape, which looks like it will be Kenya in 8 days.
